Tim Black
Senior Electrical Engineer

Tim Black was born in Terre Haute IN and attended Indiana State University.
He has been designing microprocessor based devices since 1975 and designing
circuit boards since 1969. While working in the midwest, he has designed
successful products ranging from concrete batching plant controllers to
entire Broadcast Newsroom systems. He worked in Silicon Vally for 12 years
designing everything from military wearable computers to infant development
tools. His skills are focused on compact embedded code, analog systems, data
acquisition, power management, and board layout for all forms of embedded
products. He joined Ciholas in 2011.
He enjoys using these same skills in his free time, doing large scale art
projects based on embedded systems. His art work has twice been included in
the MIT international art journal (Leonardo) and featured in several television
productions. He often builds odd things just for fun. He enjoys random research,
camping, hiking, swimming and being a DJ.
